Over angelic guitars and a subtle throbbing bass, Bieber displays his most mature vocals yet as he thanks his mother for the sacrifices she made to raise him as a single parent. In the lyrics, he references Mallette getting pregnant at 18, working two jobs to pay the bills, strengthening her faith in God, and influencing him.
Bieber sings, "You were so young, you were just my age when you had me, Mom. You were so brave." He adds, "I don't know what I'd do if you left me, so please don't go away."

Before Bieber and Mallette moved to Atlanta in 2007 to sign with manager Scooter Braun and mentor Usher, they were living in public housing in Stratford, Ontario.
Braun told People that Mallette was "very protective" when he contacted her about signing her son after discovering Bieber's acoustic performances on YouTube.
Braun added that Mallette, a 38-year-old former church band singer and Web designer, keeps Bieber humble. "He can get grounded like a normal kid, get his computer taken away," he said. Braun said he and Mallette help Bieber find balance by allowing him one day a week to rest and spend time with friends.
It was Mallette who encouraged Bieber to complete his high school education. "That was something my mom really wanted me to do, so I had to do it for her," Bieber said. "I mean, this kind of lifestyle has given me a different perspective on life."
"Turn To You (Mother's Day Dedication)" is the second single from Bieber's third album, "Believe," due out in June
